The Bubo: Barred-eagle Owl
Having birding at Kuala Selangor Nature Park (KSNP) for a while, i would say it has been fruitful for me. I got my first lifer in this category "Bubo" from KSNP when i first started my birding back in mid 2000. This has been one of the owl species which all birders and nature lovers would love to have a good sight and picture of it. What does Bubo means? It means for this special category of owls : the Eagle Owl. Truly enough, KSNP has been lucky to have this particular Eagle Owl which can be easily sighted and not to be missed - the most highlighted eagle owl species is the Barred-eagle Owl.
Lucky for me that i was able to sight this marvellous owl species in most of my birding trips until Terence and myself able to capture all the special moments of this owl in video mode.
Enjoy this clips about Barred-eagle Owl (Bubo sumatranus; Bahasa Malaysia: Burung Hantu Jalur; Mandarin: 马来雕鸮)
