Kek Lok Tong and Kinta Nature Park 20 Aug 2020

 It was a trip to visit some friend in Ipoh and hand over some purchase. We took our opportunity to stay overnight in Kampar for a short visit. Our main target were the Blue Rock Thrush and also the Oriental Darter. 

So we headed to Kek Lok Tong in the morning when we arrived in Ipoh. I must say compare to my first visit near 20 years back Kek Lok Tong seem to get the momentum. Today it was rather busy but I decided to walk around the park for the Thrush. I was not disappointed when an adult show up..

I must say my wife shot was the best for this trip.

While photographing the thrush we manage to spot this Red Whiskered Bulbul and there was about 3 individual feeding.

We later headed to Kinta Nature Park. To be honest I wasn't so sure which area one see it so I try the only island I know. There was more than 10 individual around and one pair with possibility of nesting.
