NCRRU - Blyth's Hawk Eagle (nest 2)
This is actually my older nest of this species. this was seen in much lower altitude but rather similar hilly area. The are surrounding the tree are rather similar. The nest tree was an emergent tree and also the available of "perch tree" nearby. This details were rather new and not mention in many text but rather consistent in all nest. I was given a question lately is that does all Blyth's Hawk Eagle nest on a open tree such as the earlier one. The answer is No. The nest here were very well cover canopy. Same goes to the one of the two nest in Perak.
This observation of this nest begin during incubation period but stage of incubation was unknown. Nevertheless we continue observation till the eaglet began to grow up before the observation of this nest needed to be stop due to some circumstances. We never finish this nest but last we heard the eaglet fledge.
See below of some picture of the eaglet.
