Fraser’s Hill _ 1st in a long time

I must admit it has been a long time since i have visited this area. Taking a short trip was not that bad idea. This time how ever i was optimistic and i tell myself that i need to go with my Digiscope equipment. So Fraser’s here I come.

Well the day was filled with rain and fog. So i must say rather a challenge for anything i hope for. Still i tell myself at to go for my target which is the large niltava and also the rufous browed flycatcher. Guess what i got both of it.

One of the first bird that come out was this Rufous Browed flycatcher. Under thick fog i was hoping that the scope play its part well. The Kowa 99A did not disappoint me. However this is still not the shot i was hoping. Perhaps next round.

Next to get into my target was the Large Niltava. I only manage to get the male and no female. Better luck next time.

In the same area as well we did get the White Tailed Robin. This one however i only manage to get the female and not the male.

Last but not least and one of the highlight was this Jambi Fruit Dove which was spotted by my better half. :). The bird stay there for a long time before moving. This give many opportunity for birder in the area to tick them as lifer.
