Buff-Rumped Woodpecker
A more or less common species in our lowland area. We were lucky today to be able to observed both male and female of this species together. est of the species were also mention to be found at clearing which also indicate why they are more common lowland forest species compared to other species. This also mean they are in great danger as this habitat will be first affected with logging and other development. Nevertheless the success to adapt is rather amazing. This days as well you can observed them in plantation and also nesting in plantation. I believe this species is one of the species which may not be heavily affected by development in forest edge area considering the current knowledge of their adaptability.
