Kuala Selangor October 2022

First trip after some family drawback. A short outing with love one was great. We decided to head to this excluded beach area where we usually the only bird watcher around. Having to wait for the wader to come back during the tide retreating was a great decision. Some of the unique wader observed was this Whimbrel. A small flock was observed.

Other wader such as the Common Redshank

Some Terek Sandpiper.

And the only interesting wader we encounter today was this lone Little Stint.

This one was observed together with Curlew Sandpiper, Red Necked Stint, Lesser Sandplover.

Tern were not left out. Little Tern and Gull Billed Tern was around the area though we manage to get only the Whiskered Tern and...

... White Winged Tern

A Brown Shrike perch nearby the spot giving some photographic opportunity.

While wader was not disappointing only 2 egret species were sighted which is the Great Egret and the Little Egret as in below.

Little Heron was feeding on the edge of the wave and have been very successful with its method.
