Malaysia furthest south and first for Selangor record - Indian Roller
The team and myself were all saying goodbye and also packing up my stuff to put back in the car. I decided to leave my digiscoping equipment in a place i can easily reach in case something good turn out. So as we drive along the road moving left and right Eileen and me saw something perch by the side and there I shout is that a roller?
Eileen responded yes and off straight hoping the car sticker on back wind screen of my car in a busy traffic stating "caution we do bird stop" work when i immediately sway the car to the shoulder of the road. Coming down the bird was very nervous. I have to make a few run and stop to get some shot of this guy.
Honestly for a year and more now that I have actually hoping to get a roller here and now I have seen it in Kuala Selangor I hope my next target there to be the Hoopoe.
Below are the picture of the Indian Roller. This bird have show a very show and nervous behaviour similar to the 3 noted in Taiping years ago when they first arrive. Only different is that this was similar to another Roller i see in Penang where is a bit off from its habitat and also in the same time beside road with traffic. Other sighting were mainly off road and also somewhere secluded.
