White-Bellied Sea-Eagle
So what is the fuss about this individual. When I was informed about a rather confiding find of this White-Bellied Sea-Eagle it come with a warning that this bird attack and has injured people. Nevertheless I took my chance not leaving any opportunity of possible close encounter of such magnificent species. I must admit i never come so nervous dealing with a raptor in my birding life. Yes I have got close to a nesting raptor to less then 20 meter without getting attack even adult is looking. Yes I have stand face to face in about less then 20 meter from a Greater Spotted Eagle which look directly at me without being attack or any.
This however was another story. The bird show a bit nervous but when approach nothing similar to approaching an adult White-Bellied Sea-Eagle. I can't say much as probably my feeling and story told to me play a trick on my head.
Soon its true colour show. It went after a passer by before flying pass me in about 2 meter away. It was an experience. Soon it come to as close as less then 5 meter away from me and perch right in front. I must say it was spectacular. But on the other hand my digiscope was too close for me to do anything. I need to retreat before able to take a shot of this species. Below are two of the many shot I took from this individual.
